Check Out These Student-made Book Trailers!


A few months ago, one of our authors, Sarah Tsiang, told us she had been contacted by a teacher whose Grade 7 Design Technology class was learning how to make book trailers. We agreed that it would be fine for the students to use text and images from two of Sarah's picture books: A Flock of Shoes and Dogs Don't Eat Jam. (Her latest, The Stone Hatchlings, just came out.)

This week, Sarah reviewed all of the trailers and picked four winners, each of whom will receive their choice of one of her books. Sarah also picked a whopping twelve honorable mentions! All of the winners and honorable mentions have been posted, along with some comments from the teacher and Sarah, on the class website: click here to take a look.

We're very impressed with this entire class's video-making skills and enthusiasm for books, and we'd especially like to congratulate all of the winners and honorable mentions. And now, for your enjoyment, here are the four trailers that the author picked:
